Summary
Responsible to meet hiring goals with talented and qualified candidates, which entails sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating, and conducting the interview process, and facilitating offers of employment.
Education, Licensure and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field preferred.
- English and Spanish fluency required.
- At least two years of human resources or related experience required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Please note: This in no way states or implies that these are the only duties you will be required to perform. - Consults with hiring manager to understand the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for the specified vacant position(s).
- Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications.
- Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards/newspapers/colleges, etc.
- Source and recruit candidates by using databases and/or social media.
- Collects and analyzes data to maintain current understanding of fair and competitive market salaries, candidate availability, and demand for candidates in particular fields.
- Consults data and records to identify and select potential candidates for vacant positions.
- Screens candidates, selects qualified and interested candidates for the interviewing phase, and then connects viable candidates with hiring managers.
- Performs in-person and phone interviews with candidates.
- Checks candidates’ references and credentials, verifying experience and backgrounds.
- Counsels candidates on the interview and hiring process.
- Organizes and attends job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities.
- Follows up with hiring managers after the interview process to determine whether a placement can be made; collects feedback when placement is unsuccessful.
- Arranges meeting locations, travel, and/or accommodations for applicants and company managers when necessary.
- Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations.

Language Skills
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the language of the majority cultural group in order to communicate effectively. Must be able to hear enough to understand those individuals as well. Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend documents such as grafts/flow sheets, financials, general professional articles and publications, governmental regulations, safety rules, assignment sheets, and procedure manuals. Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, policies and procedures, and other administrative forms as outlined above.
Must be able to effectively communicate in both individual and group settings. Must be able to present information and respond to questions from individuals and/or groups.
Mathematical Skills
In order to perform duties, must be able to:
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure such as whole numbers, fractions, percentages, and fractions.
- Compute rate, discounts, ratios, and percent, and
- Make, read and interpret financials, graphs, rates, ratios, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense and judgment in solving problems and interpreting and understanding instructions furnished in written or oral form. Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action yet reason when to involve supervisor.
Computer Skills
Intermediate computer knowledge with the ability to learn software.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Display strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deal with frequent interruptions.
- Basic office skills such as phone skills, voice mail, copying, faxing, typing, and directing visitors.
- Ability to function independently given assigned duties.
- Ability to communicate, work, and interact with a variety of individuals.
