Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Banquet Server to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing outstanding service during banquet events, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all guests. The ideal candidate will excel in managing large groups, handling a variety of tasks efficiently, and delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up banquet rooms according to event specifications by arranging tables, chairs, linens. This includes setting accurate place settings and glassware.
- Pay close attention to event notes and requirements to ensure that guest needs are met as discussed with the events team.
- Greet guests as they arrive, ensuring they are seated according to the event plan and providing a warm and professional welcome.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately, ensuring high standards of presentation and quality.
- Anticipate guest needs and address any requests or concerns with a proactive and courteous attitude.
- Clear and clean tables during and after the event, including removing used dishes, utensils, and glassware.
- Assist with the breakdown and cleanup of the banquet area after events, ensuring all items are properly stored and the area is left in excellent condition.
- Collaborate with other banquet staff and kitchen personnel to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a banquet server or in a similar role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
