The NIAR Environmental Test Lab (ETL) is a world class environmental test lab recognized by multiple industries throughout the world. The ETL is staffed with many experienced degreed engineers both mechanical and electrical, with over 100 years of combined experience. The ETL is looking for a Quality Coordinator to become part of our team.
Job Summary
Assists with ensuring a systematic, integrated and consistent approach is used to measure quality and improvement of the department using an effective self-evaluation, feedback, and improvement based on quantitative information that is objective and reliable.
Essential Functions
Assists with managing programs leading to recognition under national and international quality programs and promotes quality awareness in customers, suppliers, and employees. Assists with developing databases, measuring quality, selecting methods for continuous improvement, training and motivation of employees, and promoting quality awareness outside the company. Creates and maintains policies and procedures related to quality.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
One (1) year of related experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Attention to detail to perform high-quality and accurate work.
Proficient with MS Office tools, primarily Word and Excel.
Willingness to communicate and coordinate with the rest of the lab regarding QMS functions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with a quality, calibration, or test lab environment position is beneficial.
Experience with ISO17025 or ISO9001.
Physical Requirements
Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators.
Ability to use tools, equipment, and technology necessary to do the job. This includes dexterity in instrument manipulation.
Ability to remain in a stationary position.
