JOB SUMMARY
Quivera Enterprises, LLC is seeking an experienced Information Technology Administrator responsible for the development, oversight, and administration of the organization's IT systems, including End User Support Services, cybersecurity implementation, and infrastructure management. Working under the supervision of the COO, this position ensures the seamless operation, maintenance, and security of all IT resources. The ideal candidate will have a leadership mindset combined with a hands-on approach to implementing technological solutions, ensuring that all systems meet current industry standards and government contracting requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and oversee the development, implementation, operation, monitoring, and evaluation of the organization’s IT systems and infrastructure.
- Provide hands-on support for systems administration, including managing Windows Server OS, VMWare vSphere, Windows Workstation OS, and third-party desktop software.
- Maintain technology operations, including network and telecommunications management, system and data security, backup and recovery plans, and ticketing system administration.
- Evaluate and ensure compliance with federal technology requirements, including CMMC, NIST, and FISMA standards.
- Implement and maintain SharePoint repository organization and database systems, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, VoIP systems, and Unified Communications platforms.
- Implement a best-in-class ticketing system for technological support, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of user requests.
- Support end users with logon, printing, network access, and application troubleshooting; proficient in remote management software.
- Perform daily system integrity monitoring of hardware, server, and cloud resources; oversee backup and snapshot operations.
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, SAN, and networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Develop protocols for hardware and software purchases, ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
- Collaborate with administrative staff and project managers to support instructional and contract technology initiatives.
- Plan for and lead IT-related staff training, ensuring that all levels of the organization have the necessary technical competencies.
- Oversee the administration of Office 365, including troubleshooting and system management.
- IT Administrator will manage, secure, and optimize the technology infrastructure within the constraints and regulatory requirements of a government contracting environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain and administer Cisco and HP DL network technologies.
- Administer Google Management Console to support a 1:1 Chromebook initiative (if applicable).
- Support and maintain hybrid cloud environments (Azure / AWS).
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring that best practices for antivirus, antispam, and patch management are in place.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and performance of the IT infrastructure.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- 5 years of experience in systems administration and management, including VMWare virtualization and Windows Server technologies.
- Proven experience with Windows Server (2012 R2/2016) administration and Cisco/HP networking.
- Extensive knowledge of Active Directory and group policy management.
- Experience in hybrid cloud management (Azure/AWS).
- Hands-on experience managing enterprise-level network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of government contracting technology systems and cybersecurity governance (CMMC, NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).
- Strong project management skills, with demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage IT projects.
- Certifications: Security , Network , MCP/MCSA/MCSE or equivalent certifications.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant Certifications (Highly Preferred and may be required to obtain within certain timeframe)
- CompTIA Security (often required for government-related work due to its focus on security basics)
- CompTIA Network
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification (helpful for understanding IT service management)
- CSM, SAFe, AWS, Google Cloud
- Experience with Government IT Systems: Familiarity with specific federal systems, network configurations, and security protocols used in government environments is beneficial.
- Knowledge of GSuite for Education and Google Management Console.
- Experience with implementing and managing ticketing systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
Security Clearance Requirements
- For government contracting roles, an IT Administrator may need to obtain a security clearance (e.g., Public Trust, Secret, or Top Secret), depending on the sensitivity of the data and systems they will manage.
- Clearance requirements will usually necessitate U.S. citizenship and a background check.
