Business Development Representative (BDR)


Reports to: Sales Manager - KCK


Location: Kansas City, KS


Hours: Monday - Friday


Job Description:

Business Development Representatives(BDR) are responsible for producing maximum sales and distribution of draft and/or package products while providing quality service in assigned high-volume accounts. The BDR’s primary duties include the implementation of approved Company programs and policies that will result in increased sales, market share, and profitability. The BDR is responsible for influencing all sales controllable factors including distribution, space, pricing, displays, & POCM. The BDR works closely with Sales Reps to achieve desired results. The BDR is responsible for maintaining current knowledge of all supplier brands and packages, pricing information, and promotional/marketing activities. The BDR is responsible for learning the retailer’s business and customer base to maximize the partnership between the retailer and the Company. The BDR is responsible for maintaining strong, productive relationships with all customers, sales reps, and drivers to facilitate sales.


This position requires confidence, independent action, initiative, a sense of urgency, and the ability to make decisions and take responsibility for them. A well-suited candidate can react and adjust quickly to changing conditions and come up with practical ideas for dealing with them. The style is purposeful, and directed at getting things done quickly. There is a great deal of challenge and pressure, and people and problems must be handled with confidence and determination. This job requires self-assurance and competitive drive. There is a strong demand for high-quality, organized, and repeatable results. The responsibilities are broad in scope, encompassing a wide variety of activities requiring rapid shifts in priorities. This is primarily a task-focused job, requiring a somewhat authoritative, directive selling style that encourages results-driven, task-oriented collaboration.

  • 1 years of selling experience required
