Essential Job Functions
- Oversee all plant functions including production, scheduling, distribution, maintenance and personnel management.
- Ensure facility KPI’s are set, managed and achieved, at the intervals of daily, weekly, monthly and annually.
- Ensure financial targets are achieved, based on the monthly and annual budget set for the facility.
- Lead capital projects, kaizens, and other lean events to driving operational excellence and continuous improvement, specifically related to safety, quality, delivery and cost.
- Implement and support Lean manufacturing concepts aligned with company objectives within the facility.
- Manage inventory to achieve working capital and inventory targets set for the facility.
- Promote awareness of customer and quality requirements throughout the facility, ensuring compliance with an ISO comparable quality system.
- Ensure compliance with all company, OSHA and DOT standards are met within the facility and during the delivery of manufactured goods.
- Ability to analyze data, make data driven decisions that provide beneficial results to the facility and the company.
- Ensure collaboration between departments within the facility, and as necessary with other departments of the company, to achieve company objectives.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with metal forming, welding, powder coating, assembly, and/or similar manufacturing processes is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement strategies.
- Six Sigma, Lean and/or Operational Excellence certification/training.
- Good interpersonal skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, employees, and managers.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
- Must have a solid understanding of MS Office software.
