JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the care and safety of children in the child entertainment center, including check-in, and dispensing food and beverage service.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Greet all guests promptly, pleasantly, and in a manner that promotes fun and safety.
- Check children in/out of the child entertainment area as outlined by procedures.
- Accurately handle all cash transactions, when accepting child care payment or providing arcade change.
- Prepare and provide food/beverages orders to children based on internal procedures, ensuring food safety and health code compliance.
- Monitors child activity and interacts appropriately with children, ensuring a fun, safe environment as well as monitoring the environment of the entertainment areas. Be aware of children/patrons conduct to promote a safe guest experience at all times.
- Maintain control of children and guests, contacting supervisor for assistance for difficult or unruly patrons.
- Check children for head lice and other health hazards. Handle appropriately.
- Stock food and supply items as needed to ensure adequate stocking levels.
- Provide light janitorial duties as needed, including carpet sweeping, garbage disposal, dusting and keeping restroom and rest areas sanitized, neat and stocked. Clean and sanitize all surfaces within the child entertainment areas.
- Handle guest inquiries and/or concerns efficiently and cordially, referring difficult situations to supervisor.
- Administer first aid as needed, contacting security for emergency services.
- Comply with regulator laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
- Promote teamwork through punctual, responsible attendance and courteous respectful behavior.
- Promotes a clean, safe, healthy work environment for employees and guests. Please report all concerns to the supervisor.
- Ensure that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials are handled safely.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with children, preferably in a daycare or preschool setting.
- Customer service experience.
- Computer literate. POS system experience preferred.
- Requires a strong rapport and comfort level in working with children.
- Possess a valid first aid/CPR/food handler’s certification or obtain within 30 days of employment.
- Needs to frequently stand, sit, and move about for long periods, light lifting, bending, stretching, and needs to periodically climb in/out of tubes.
- Effective communication skills - to provide verbal instruction, respond to questions, and have exceptional interpersonal skills and abilities.
- Flexible schedule - to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bi-lingual in English/Spanish.
- High School Diploma or GED.
