About the Role:
Wiley is seeking an Assistant Editor for our Business, Accounting and Finance team who is curious, resourceful, and passionate about modern-day Higher Education. We are committed to helping instructors and students improve outcomes and reach their full potential. In this role, you will be focused on helping the team to drive the vision for Wiley’s largest revenue-generating discipline in Higher Education.
The business is at a critical turning point where we are pivoting our day-to-day focus from traditional publishing projects towards new yet to be defined experiences. This job requires flexibility, nimbleness, and project management skills to manage development of existing products and help initiate new product innovations.
How you will make an impact:

Build relationships with our customers in researching new product ideas, and reviewing and confirming product revision ideas

Helping the team carry out product experiments and pilots and collecting customer feedback

Manage product development on existing Courseware projects

Supporting the team’s ability to deliver superior courseware product experiences

Help facilitate the publishing process, communicating with authors and contributors, participating in team meetings, and working closely with other departments, such as Production, Product Design and Development, and Marketing

Some administrative focus managing a range of tasks such as invoicing

Provide a positive experience for our authors, team members and subject matter experts
What we look for:

Publishing/EdTech experience, and awareness of the shifts in business curriculum

Data Analysis skills: some experience working with data insights is ideal

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, able to shift focus quickly

Strong attention to detail, especially for maintaining accurate data in our systems

Polished communication skills, ability to build relationships and credibility quickly

Creative problem solver

Ability to do some traveling

Bachelor’s degree
