Here at Wilkes Veterinary Hospital, we pride ourselves on being a private practice who fosters a family-oriented work environment. Our team provides a wide variety of medical services for dogs, cats, reptiles, ferrets, rabbits, rodents, and some small farm animals. We are passionate veterinary professionals who love helping animals and people, which is why we work closely with local shelters and rescue organizations. Our team is committed to developing plans and solutions that meet the needs of our staff, patients, clients, and the community. What You will Be Working On

  • Build and maintain current and prospective client relationships
  • Preventative wellness care, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animal cases
  • Management, diagnosis, and treatment of internal medicine cases, with plenty of supporting mentorship available for new graduates
  • Opportunity to perform small animal surgeries with mentorship for new graduates as needed
  • Ensure quality care and environment for both staff and clients

Requirements and Preferences

  • DVM or equivalent from an accredited program is required
  • Be licensed or able to be licensed in the state of North Carolina required
  • Minimum of two years of experience preferred but not required
  • Experience working in a private practice setting preferred
  • Knowledge and experience working internal medicine cases preferred
