Position Summary
We are seeking a Human Resources Director to lead a team of HR professionals supporting a historic and vibrant higher education community. This pivotal role blends strategic planning with hands-on execution, fostering a high-engagement culture in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications
- Significant experience in a strategic role advising on people related strategies (typically 6 years)
- Experience directly managing HR teams (typically 4 years)
- Demonstrates subject matter expertise across HR functions including – HRIS, Employee Relations, HR Business Partners, Total Rewards, and Talent Acquisition
- Experience producing results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word and Excel
- A proven track record of strategic HR partnership and hands-on HR implementation
- Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and best practices
- Experience with HR metrics and data analysis to inform business decisions
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and comfortable with technology to streamline HR processes
- Ability to design and implement effective training, development, and retention programs
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organization

- Previous experience leading HR transformation
