Description
Looking for a skilled construction industry Accounts Payable Specialist that will be responsible for processing all supplier and overhead invoices received for payment in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.
- Maintain large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Bonus if you have SAGE experience
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, posting expenses to job cost and general ledger accounts
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to vendor statements on a monthly basis
- Ensure proper job cost and general ledger coding is utilized and appropriate approval is obtained
- Work with vendors and answer inquiries
- Set up new vendors in accounting system, obtain W-9 forms from all vendors and maintain files
- Assist with insurance audits and 1099 preparation
- Assist with special projects supporting the Accounting department
- And anything else the COO or finance team needs help with
Requirements
- High School Diploma or higher education level
- 3 years of Accounts Payable experience; Construction Industry experience a plus
- Experience using Sage 300 CRE accounting system highly desired
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and AP principals
- Excellent multitasking and time management abilities
- Self-starter, organized and detailed oriented
- Ability to maintain a high degree of integrity and confidentiality
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and work with individuals at all organization levels
- Strong user of Excel, proficient using MS Outlook and Word
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- Pre-employment background screening (criminal, drug screen and DMV) is required for all positions
