Title: WCCHD QSM Intern
Reports to: Quality and Strategic Management (QSM) Supervisor
Location: Hybrid in Round Rock, TX- Williamson County
This internship will work directly with the Williamson County and Cities Health District (WCCHD) Quality and Strategic Managment (QSM) Team. The Quality and Strategic Management (QSM) team is a part of the Executive Leadership Division. QSM strives to help sustain healthy and equitable communities in Williamson County by supporting all agency services through strategic planning, quality and performance management, data analysis, and comprehensive reporting. Funding availability for Internships will be communicated at the time of the offer. Accepting applications for Summer/Fall 2025.
This internship will work with the QSM team to support QSM initiatives such as the new quality improvement plan, strategic plan, policy management, and various forms of data analysis and support. The purpose of this internship is not only to help improve the health of Williamson County, but also to provide the intern with valuable knowledge and experiences that assist in their educational and career aspirations.

Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with staff as an active member of the QSM team
- Research of QI methods and tools
- Support the development of a plan of action for QI in the health district
- Help facilitate and support QI meetings with divisions
- Create forms, worksheets and summary documents to aid QI projects
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Student working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public health, health education, epidemiology, biostatistics, social work, or a related field
- Minimum of 3.0 GPA
- Experience with research, data analysis, and data visualization techniques
- Experience or knowledge of quality assurance and quality improvement methods
- Basic knowledge of health promotion and/or public health
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivation and the ability to work under minimal supervision
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Creativity in problem-solving
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Reliable transportation and wifi
