The Controller is responsible for managing the activities of the overall general finance function. Will oversee, implement, and maintain accounting systems, procedures, and policies. This position ensures the accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of accounting data and acts as the liaison between the company, banking, tax professionals, and auditors in providing required information and ensuring proper information is maintained.
Primary Job Duties:
- Ensure the reporting of accurate financials as well as provide detailed analysis on business development in a manner that allows management to steer the company most profitably.
- Provide tools, processes, and standards for the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ensure that the company complies with external accounting standards (US-GAAP and IFRS) as well as with internal standards set by Group HQ.
- Assign and audit the work of the accounting staff to develop, implement, and/or maintain one or a combination of generally accepted accounting systems.
- Oversee basic accounting procedures (A/R, A/P, P/R, G/L, tax payments and inventory control)
- Monitor and review all records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transitions.
- Coordinate with auditors (annual financial and 401K audits) to manage year-end audits.
- Ensure all basic accounting procedures, financial statement preparation, month-end closing, journal entries and general ledger maintenance, inventory roll forwards, and fixed assets and margin analysis; prepare supporting schedules for financial statement preparation are done to company and regulatory standards.
- Review and analyze general ledger account reconciliations and investment transactions in conjunction with preparing quarterly reports for management.
- Perform analysis of operations every month
Essential department responsibilities are not limited to:
- Manage the Accounting team by defining goals, implementing processes, and providing guidance.
- Manage banking relationships with local banks and Group.
- Work regularly with Group Controlling to ensure compliance with current Group requirements.
- Provide support in detailed business analysis to appropriate departments.
- Organize and structure budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Improve and develop reporting tools and systems.
- Support in the implementation of incentive programs
- Provide detailed analysis of the financial situation to Management.
- Review and audit expenses and expense habits by department
- Adherence to Group guidelines in all areas of Finance

Pay Range: Commensurate with experience.
Shift/hours: Normal business hours are 8 am - 5 pm

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA or MBA a plus
- 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or a similar environment
- Thorough knowledge of general accounting principles including the application of general accounting theory
- Manufacturing experience preferred
