Purpose
A Real Estate Financial Analyst will provide financial analysis to support the financing, acquisition and sale of properties. The position will provide expertise and counsel to organization leaders based on economic conditions, market trends and financial situation. This role will research market trends and statistics to forecast immediate, near term and long term cash and investment positions.
Responsibilities
- Create financial models to evaluate potential new development or investments
Models include job and community level performance and structured finance. - Create financial models to evaluate property pricing strategies with operating costs/revenue and income streams.
- Support leadership with financial models and analysis.
- Update financial models with actual data to evaluate investments.
- Perform market research to determine/verify a project’s economics and to verify assumptions used in models.
- Identify economic/general issues with potential economic impact.
- Assist with acquisition due diligence.
- Assist with physical due diligence (including review of contracts, preparing the budgets, gathering the consultants) of potential acquisitions.
- Perform pricing analysis. Cultivate relationships for market information.
- Perform special projects/analysis for leadership
- Summarize and present findings and recommendations succinctly
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial performance analysis on organization, property and community-specific levels
- Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.
- Direct financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives to include acquisitions, brand expansion, organic market growth, and alternate revenue stream opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge
- Strong MS Office with emphasis in Excel
- Prioritizes and implements process improvement opportunities
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Effective working relationships with others both within and outside of their team

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, MBA preferred
- Financial Planning and Analysis experience
- Experience in homebuilding industry preferred
