What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registrar position at Winfield Park District?
This position is part-time and hours are Monday - Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Additional hours Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM may be available.
The Registrar is responsible for assisting the public as it relates to the Park District, registering participants, serving as receptionist for visitors, and performing miscellaneous office duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Serve as receptionist, greet visitors, check membership passes, answer questions, and provide specific program information.
2. Perform daily office operations such as opening and closing procedures, process facility rental requests forms.
3. Perform necessary registration functions including but not limited to enrollment, transfers, wait-lists, printing of reports, and data entry.
4. Review daily facility activities and upcoming events; be familiar with current programs.
5. Maintain a professional, diplomatic, and friendly relationship with customers.
6. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front counter area.
7. Perform miscellaneous tasks as needed by superiors such as the assembly of packets, copying, class calls, mailings, and other assigned duties.
8. Move paper stock, load printers, registers, etc.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Perform the job in compliance with District policies, procedures, work rules, and the employee handbook.
2. Perform job in the safest manner possible and in compliance with District Safety Policies and Procedures.
3. Promote Park District event and programs.
4. Work in a cooperative effort to achieve department and park district goals.
5. Work additional hours upon request.
1. Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Must have good typing skills, basic computer skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
3. A valid Illinois Drivers License is required.
