DAY IN THE LIFE OF:
As a Sewing Machine Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:

Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical/electronic issues with industrial sewing machines and other related equipment.

Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, oiling, and adjusting machines to optimize performance.

Repairing and replacing defective parts, including motors, gears, belts, and needles, to ensure seamless operation.

Testing and evaluating sewing machines after repairs to verify proper functionality.

Optimizing machine setups to meet production requirements efficiently.

Maintaining detailed records of repairs and services provided for each machine.

Ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety guidelines in the workshop area.

Assisting with inventory management, including ordering spare parts and maintaining stock levels.

Identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance overall efficiency.

Utilizing knowledge and experience in working with and repairing small industrial machines to diagnose and resolve issues.

Applying expertise in mechanical parts, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics to address machine-related problems effectively.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:

Proven experience as a Sewing Machine Mechanic, preferably with a minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in repairing industrial sewing machines.

A solid understanding of mechanical and electrical/electronic principles related to sewing machines.

Familiarity with a wide range of sewing machine brands and models.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
