Job Overview : The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth through strategic partnerships, community outreach, and business development efforts within the branch network. This position will focus on expanding the credit union's membership, increasing service utilization, and enhancing the credit union's profile within the community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, relationship management, and business strategy within the financial services or credit union industry.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to drive membership growth and revenue expansion, with a focus on long-term strategic goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, community outreach, and partnerships with local businesses, non-profits, and other organizations.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with key community leaders, business owners, and potential members to generate leads and increase membership.
  • Promote the credit union's products and services by hosting informational events, seminars, and workshops aimed at attracting new members and engaging current members.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns and initiatives that increase brand awareness and drive business.
  • Conduct market research to stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.
  • Track and report on performance metrics , including new membership acquisition, service usage, and community engagement, ensuring alignment with the credit union's growth targets.
  • Provide excellent customer service and member engagement by addressing inquiries and resolving issues, ensuring a positive experience for all potential and existing members.
  • Work closely with the Branch Manager team to help foster a sales culture that prioritizes growth and is aligned with the overall corporate objectives.

Qualifications :

  • Proven track record of success in generating new business and increasing membership growth.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to think strategically, build relationships, and drive results in a competitive environment.
  • Knowledge of credit union products and services is highly desirable.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
