POSITION : Manager, Talent Acquisition

JOB CODE : MGRTA

REPORTS TO : Director, Human Resources

SUMMARY : The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to attract, assess, and hire top talent for the organization. This position involves managing the full lifecycle recruiting process, building strong relationships with hiring managers, and promoting the organization’s employer brand. The role requires a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and adherence to ADA guidelines to ensure accessible and equitable hiring practices.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following :

  • Partner with HR and leadership to forecast hiring needs and plan recruitment strategies accordingly.
  • Develop and implement national and international recruitment strategies tailored to the hospitality and recreation industry, addressing the unique needs of seasonal, hourly, and salaried positions.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding for roles such as guest services, culinary staff, operations, facilities, marketing, leadership and recreational sports roles and other required resort positions.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and provide hiring expertise with guidance on best practices.
  • Source candidates utilizing various sourcing techniques, including social media, job boards, and employee referrals, as well as using industry-specific platforms, job fairs, hospitality and culinary schools, community organizations to build talent pipelines.
  • Create and maintain talent pipelines to support high-volume hiring needs during peak seasons.
  • Ensure a positive and efficient candidate experience at every stage of the recruitment process.
  • Analyze recruitment metrics to optimize sourcing strategies and reduce time-to-hire.
  • Ensure all job postings and recruitment activities are accessible and ADA-compliant.
  • Oversee the employer branding strategy to position the organization as an employer of choice.
  • Promote the organization as an employer of choice through engaging branding strategies, including social media, career fairs, and partnerships and promote diversity and inclusion by sourcing candidates from underrepresented groups and ensuring equitable hiring practices.
  • Maintain and analyze recruitment metrics to identify trends and improve processes.
  • Train and mentor recruiting team members to ensure consistent, high-quality performance.
  • Stay informed on dynamic industry and market trends, labor / employment laws, workforce challenges and industry best practices especially those affecting hospitality and recreation staffing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Education, Training and Experience Guidelines :

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5 years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Experience implementing ADA-compliant recruitment practices is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of :

  • Strong understanding of full cycle recruiting and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Working knowledge of local, state, federal employment laws, ADA requirements, and HR best practices.
  • Associate housing budgeting and assignments
  • National and international employment requirements including agencies, sponsors, visas, documentation, and laws
  • Skill in :

  • Interviewing techniques and evaluation for identifying strong talent.
  • Using initiative, discretion, and judgment within established procedures, guidelines, and rules.
  • Defining problems, establishing facts, and developing solutions for talent staffing.
  • Managing situations requiring diplomacy, fairness, firmness, and sound judgment.
  • Interpreting and applying local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing; bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
  • Keeping accurate records and preparing required reports including financial and staff reporting.
  • Operating computer and various software applications : Basic computer skills including proficiency with MSOffice software and Human Capital systems; ADP Workforce Now preferred.
  • Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with department heads, contractors, and vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects related to talent acquisition in compressed timeframes.
  • LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

  • Current Driver’s License
  • Current USA Passport or ability to obtain one within 3 months
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT :

  • Operates generally in an indoor, professional office environment.
  • Physical demands consist of sitting, standing, walking, stooping, and / or kneeling with prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and / or phone.
  • Ability to utilize standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
  • See and hear in the normal range, with or without correction, and communicate verbally and in written form with great facility; must be able to be understood.
  • Stamina to work long hours at times and must be willing to work an irregular schedule, which may include weekends, holidays, and / or evenings.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to travel in and out of country to attend job fairs, conferences, or meetings or cultural events.
