SUMMARY
Works closely with the Missions supervisor to ensure the financial reporting required by Financial Services is met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Operating Funds/Project Funds
- Process expense requisitions/Journal Entries for Home and World Mission fields, sites, DMB’s, AC’s and Mission Counselors – Responsibility also to include both the Home and World Missions administrators, boards office, and Campus Ministry budget reimbursement requests
- Maintains temporary advances distributions/balances
- Back up in maintaining HM budget spreadsheet as changes are made
- Back up in preparing HM operating budgets for accounting
- Assist with preparation and records MPSA’s
- Reconcile NAM payroll accounts receivable/prepare and e-mail invoice. Prepare monthly WM-Congregational Accounts Receivable account reconciliation.
- Reconcile/process HM & WM credit card statements to include both the Home and World Missions administrators and board members.
- Post monthly operating/project expense reports for HM and WM
- Keep listing of FE queue reports updated for Financial Services
- Assists with tracking designated project fund expenses
- Responds to e-mail and phone request regarding operating financials for HM and WM
- Prepare subsidy history reports
- Assists with financial information requests for administrators, boards, CFO, etc.
Missionary Children’s Education
- Updates list of missionary children attending school in U.S.
Back Up
- Open and distribute mail
Risk Management
- Church Mutual Insurance for NAM properties – calculate amount for each location
- Track and Update Field Banking Information

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong computer skills are necessary in spreadsheets and databases and to a lesser degree word processing. Familiarity with the Cloud, internet and websites is essential.
