Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin, the largest marketer of Wisconsin Cheese, seeks an experienced cheese professional with a background in administrative and event coordination. The Cheese Marketing Coordinator will use their cheese knowledge and ability to coordinate multiple tasks to support marketing of Wisconsin Cheese.

About the Role: This position will have dual responsibilities both helping manage cheese inventory while assisting with coordination of events and sponsorships. You will be responsible for cheese while it is in DFW hands, from receiving to cutting, wrapping, storing, inventory rotation, and finally to packaging and prepping cheese to ship to events and enthusiasts across the country. Additional responsibilities include coordinating consumer and DFW events from set up, managing attendance lists, arranging travel, booking venues, organizing transportation and communicating with vendors at all levels. You will coordinate our online store, maintain inventory and collaborate with facilities team to ship products as needed. You will work collaboratively with various teams and external vendors at DFW.
About You: You are passionate about cheese. You have robust cheese knowledge and the desire to be part of Wisconsin’s dairy industry. You’ve never met a cheese you didn’t like and want to share your passion with others. You have a minimum of high school degree plus two years or of related experience in an office setting. You’ve worked as a cheesemonger, possibly have your ACS CCP, or even competed in CMI. You have no problem safely breaking down large formats of cheese into retail-style cuts and are a pro at ensuring proper maintenance and storage of dairy products. You are highly efficient, accurate, able to problem solve, and possess the ability to meet immediate deadlines. You are known as someone who will do what it takes to get the job done regardless of how big or small the task might be. Some might say you are adept at finding solutions and making sure everything flows like a good fondue.
About the Job & Benefits. This position is located on-site at DFW’s office in Madison, Wisconsin. Hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm, with 10% travel including occasional evening or weekend work for events. Compensation consists of a competitive pay and benefits package that includes a company-funded 401k plan, summer hours, as well as casual office attire.
