Hours & Pay:
This is a summer position with the option to join our school year team
Up to $18.50 per hour, pay is based on education and experience
Full-time, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 16-August 15
Required training will take place in May and June.
Position Summary: Theresa Terrace and Elver Park Neighborhood Centers are operated by Wisconsin Youth Company. The neighborhood center summer float is responsible for supporting and substituting for elementary and middle school summer camp programs. The summer float will provide direct supervision to assigned groups of children and youth while at camp and during off-site field trips. The summer float is responsible for assisting with community support initiatives including public food pantry access and community events. The summer float will foster positive relationships with children and families while working closely with community partners and co-workers on projects and events that serve the neighborhood and its families.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Must be 21 years old
- Must be able to responsibly and safely manage a large group of children
- Has experience in a community building and fostering strong community connections
- Fluency in both English and Spanish strongly preferred
- HS Diploma or GED required
