Job Title:
Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
We are seeking a motivated and personable Advanced Practice Provider (APP), Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, to join our Family Medicine Practice in Margaretville, NY.
About the Role:
This is an opportunity to exercise autonomy in medical decision-making and provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop general working knowledge and understanding of pathophysiology, patient presentation, differential diagnosis, patient management, surgical principles, health promotion, and disease prevention for patients with medical and chronic conditions.
- Order diagnostic testing, blood work, and imaging studies, and notify patients of results in a timely manner.
- Perform office-based procedures and examinations.
- Familiarize yourself with electronic ordering of medications, diabetic supplies, or other equipment as needed.
- Identify appropriate interventions for preventing conditions.
Requirements:
- Candidates must be board-certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner and possess or be eligible to obtain an applicable New York State license.
- Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 1-year experience; however, highly motivated new graduates with interest and abilities in surgery will be considered.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
