The Hospitality Service Manager & Maître D' is a leadership role responsible for overseeing front-of-house service, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and managing daily operations in a high-volume winery setting. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to create a seamless and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Wednesday-Sunday from May 23rd through October 13th. Shifts vary, beginning as early as 9:30am and ending as late as 9pm
Guest Experience & Service Execution:
- Serve as the face of hospitality, warmly welcoming guests and setting the tone for exceptional service.
- Oversee floor operations to ensure smooth service flow and an elevated guest experience.
- Anticipate guest needs and resolve any service issues with professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintain and enforce high hospitality standards, ensuring all interactions reflect the winery’s brand and values.
Leadership & Staff Management:
- Lead, train, and mentor the front-of-house team
- Attend pre and post shift meetings to align staff on daily expectations, VIP guests, and any operational updates.
- Manage team breaks, and assignments to optimize efficiency and service quality.
- Provide on-the-spot coaching and feedback to uphold hospitality standards.
Operations & Logistics:
- Oversee reservations, guest seating, and table flow to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Implement and uphold service protocols, ensuring consistency across all guest interactions.
- Help manage special events, private tastings, and high-profile guest visits with precision and discretion.
- Act as a brand ambassador, educating guests on the winery’s history, wines, and hospitality philosophy.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in hospitality management, fine dining, or luxury wine service.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Expertise in wine service, tasting room operations, and high-end guest experiences.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining impeccable service standards.
- Proficiency in reservation systems and point-of-sale software.
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
