We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant Manager to join our team as a key member of our Accounting and Finance Team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure delivery of accurate and timely financial statements, leading team responsible for multiple aspect of accounting and finances.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of General Ledger, AP, AR, Sales Audit, Treasure and Banking and month-end/year-end close processes for multiple entities simultaneously.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide meaningful insights and recommendations to management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Lead the implementation of process improvements and best practices to streamline accounting procedures
- Lead internal and external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
- Oversee preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns for multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with all state and local regulations
- Oversee preparation of tip allocations, ensuring fair and accurate distribution of tips among eligible employees in compliance with labor laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, including supervision of staff
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to direct and supervise
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet job requirements and deadlines
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and integrity
