Job Description
As a Construction Superintendent with our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction projects. This includes coordinating with project managers, managing work schedules, and ensuring quality control and safety protocols are followed.
Responsibilities:
- Attend internal kickoff meetings to review project details and establish communication with the project manager.
- Set up the job site and temporary office according to company protocols, coordinate delivery and staging of long-lead materials.
- Conduct pre-start meetings with subcontractors to review scope, schedule, and expectations.
- Manage work schedules with trade partners and coordinate activities among trades.
- Assist the project manager in scheduling recovery and follow up on RFIs with architects/engineers/designers.
- Keep a daily log of activities, including work details, photos, and timings in Procore.
- Ensure quality control and hold subcontractors accountable.
- Resolve subcontractor disputes and communicate solutions and changes to the project manager, documenting all relevant details.
- Manage updates to drawings and code field expenses in Procore.
- Prioritize and champion safety from project start to finish, providing training and monitoring compliance.
- Record safety incidents, conduct inspections, and hold trades accountable for safety meetings.
- Implement safety measures, schedule reports, follow established safety rules, and ensure a clean and orderly jobsite, equipment, and vehicles.
- Coordinate inspections across various domains, manage building officials, and oversee project closeout with the project manager, ensuring a comprehensive punch list.
