SOME OF WHAT YOU'LL DO HERE- With the support of our established Urogyn Team
- Work in close partnership with clinicians as an integral and valued member of the care team.
- Room patients and provide direct patient care support.
- Assist with complex procedures and provide procedural support for patients.
- Conduct nurse-only visits with the support of the UroGyn team.
- Perform bladder installations and self-catheterization teaching with guidance from the UroGyn team.
- Manage referral processes, including scrubbing and teeing up referrals for review.
- Ensure charts are complete and ready for patient visits.
- Set up telehealth visits and ensure all necessary patient information is available.
- Complete prior authorizations for office-based procedures such as UDS, medications, and Botox.
- Field patient calls and manage patient needs, escalating next steps as needed.
- Potentially schedule post-op and follow-up appointments.
- Support administrative work related to UroGyn and advanced GYN services, including maintaining referral lists and assisting patients calling in for advice.
- Ensure patients are roomed and that all necessary medical records are available prior to visits.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Graduation from an accredited medical assisting program
- Certified as an MA through AAMA, NCCT, or AMT, or if recently graduated, ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire (required)
- CPR certification (required)
- Prior experience in phlebotomy/injections strongly preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR is a plus!
