Supervisor OPS/PACU Serves as the secondary leadership for the department/unit’s daily operations and provides 24/7 oversight in collaboration with the Department Director. Assists with patient care, either directly or indirectly. Demonstrates critical thinking/clinical reasoning to ensure the delivery of safe, quality, timely, compassionate, and cost-effective care to the patient populations served by the department/unit. Effectively communicates and collaborates both intra- and interdepartmentally with staff, directors, physicians, administration and other healthcare team members. Provides development, delivery, supervision, and/or coordination of educational and quality improvement activities for designated areas.Job Duties:
Integrates best practices in the delivery of care.
Serves/acts as a resource based on current standards of nursing care, including auditing of patient medical records for documentation and risk management issues.
Serves/acts as a resource to both staff/team members and patients for clinical and ethical issues.
Participates in patient care delivery either directly or indirectly.
Uses professional knowledge to develop and revise nursing plans of care for patients according to unit guidelines and criteria.
Assists in addressing unplanned unit staffing needs by working variable hours/shifts or coordinating coverage with other units.
Assists with clinical decisions when Department Director is unavailable.
Demonstrates knowledge of disaster/emergency procedures and responds appropriately.
Utilizes measures to promote and maintain patient, visitor, and staff safety.
Demonstrates the appropriate use of infection control principles and personal protective equipment.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education:
Graduate of an accredited program for nursing education, Bachelor's degree in Nursing Required OR currently enrolled with an expected graduation within 2 years
Minimum Certification/Licensure:
Current License to practice professional Nursing in the State of Ohio
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
