Supervisor OPS/PACU
Serves as the secondary leadership for the department/unit’s daily operations and provides 24/7 oversight in collaboration with the Department Director. Assists with patient care, either directly or indirectly. Demonstrates critical thinking/clinical reasoning to ensure the delivery of safe, quality, timely, compassionate, and cost-effective care to the patient populations served by the department/unit. Effectively communicates and collaborates both intra- and interdepartmentally with staff, directors, physicians, administration and other healthcare team members. Provides development, delivery, supervision, and/or coordination of educational and quality improvement activities for designated areas.

Job Duties
- Integrates best practices in the delivery of care.
- Serves/acts as a resource based on current standards of nursing care, including auditing of patient medical records for documentation and risk management issues.
- Serves/acts as a resource to both staff/team members and patients for clinical and ethical issues.
- Participates in patient care delivery either directly or indirectly.
- Uses professional knowledge to develop and revise nursing plans of care for patients according to unit guidelines and criteria.
- Assists in addressing unplanned unit staffing needs by working variable hours/shifts or coordinating coverage with other units.
- Assists with clinical decisions when Department Director is unavailable.
- Demonstrates knowledge of disaster/emergency procedures and responds appropriately.
- Utilizes measures to promote and maintain patient, visitor, and staff safety.
- Demonstrates the appropriate use of infection control principles and personal protective equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Education:
- Graduate of an accredited program for nursing education, Bachelor's degree in Nursing Required OR currently enrolled with an expected graduation within 2 years
- Current License to practice professional Nursing in the State of Ohio
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
