Job Summary:

As a Hotel Front Desk Staff member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's front desk and providing exceptional customer service to our guests. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting and assisting guests, handling check-ins and check-outs, managing reservations, and addressing guest inquiries and concerns. This position requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Greet guests with a warm and friendly welcome, ensuring a positive first impression.

Provide outstanding customer service by addressing guests' needs, inquiries, and concerns promptly and professionally.

Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently, ensuring accurate and up-to-date guest information.

Process payments, manage cash transactions, and maintain an organized and secure cash drawer.

Assist guests in making reservations, both in-person and over the phone, ensuring accuracy and adherence to hotel policies.

Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure guest rooms are prepared and maintained to the highest standards.

Keep records of room availability and guest accounts, maintaining confidentiality of guest information.

Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner, escalating to the appropriate management level if necessary.

Provide recommendations and information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and dining options to enhance guests' experience.

Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, including the lobby and surrounding areas.

Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure seamless communication and operations.

Follow hotel policies, procedures, and safety regulations to ensure the security of guests and their belongings.

Stay updated on hotel services, promotions, and special events to effectively promote and upsell to guests.

Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and answering phone calls.

Attend training sessions and meetings as required to enhance job knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or related field is a plus.

Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of reservation systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations, resolving conflicts with diplomacy and professionalism.

Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet.

Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Strong integrity and a commitment to upholding the hotel's standards and policies.

Fluency in additional languages is an advantage, particularly those commonly spoken by hotel guests.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour

Schedule:
