General Statement of Duties: Perform customer service and clerical duties necessary for the effective operation of the Access Services unit, as well as shelving and shelf-reading to maintain good order of the stacks.

Responsibilities
- Provide quality customer service to library patrons.
- Charge and discharge materials using the automated circulation system.
- Shelve library materials and assist with stack maintenance.
- Retrieve materials from the collection as needed
- Complete assignments and projects as directed by Access Services staff.
- Provide patrons with accurate information related to library services and general policies.
- Help patrons navigate the library and locate resources in the stacks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be dependable.
- Must be accurate.
- Ability to work without constant supervision.
- Ability to handle personal information with extreme confidentiality.
- Must be comfortable interacting with students, faculty, and members of the community.
- Some computer skills required.
- Experience working in a library or customer service environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Apps.
