EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST
Work Ready Texas is looking for an EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST to work with individuals with mild to moderate disabilities in the Plano area. We are seeking a highly skilled, adaptable, and reliable specialist to help take our company to the next level by reaching company goals. In this position, you will be part of a dynamic team of professionals who develop and implement our customer placement goals and by providing customer job support. Our customers are referred to us by Texas Workforce Solutions and need assistance securing and maintaining long-term, meaningful employment. Employment Specialist Duties and Responsibilities
· Place three customers every four weeks from your caseload.
· Manage daily administrative tasks.
· Submit job applications for individuals on your caseload.
· Develop a network of employers through face-to-face interaction.
· Develop interview opportunities which lead to securing employment for your customers.
· Place customers on jobs that match their individual employment goals.
· Provide on-the-job support for your customers.
Employment Specialist Requirements and Qualifications
· BS degree in Marketing or relevant field.
· Successful work experience in marketing or as a sales associate.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Excellent time management and organizational skills.
· Problem-solving skills.
The ideal candidate for this position is one who is outgoing, driven, and has a sales or marketing background. This position requires talking to potential employers about their hiring needs and being able to secure interviews and placements for the individuals on your caseload. A successful Employment Specialist is great at building relationships with employers.
The position has a base training salary of $40,000 for the first 120 days until credentialed, after which the specialist is moved to an incentive-based plan.
The average income for an Employment Specialist is $58,000-$64,000 a year.
