Are you a detail-oriented Workers' Compensation Discovery Paralegal looking for a rewarding opportunity with a well-established law firm? Key Responsibilities :
- Discovery Management : Draft responses to discovery requests, including objections and privilege logs.
- Tracking & Organization : Send and track outgoing supplemental discovery requests.
- Medical Record Analysis : Create and update timelines and chronologies from medical records.
- Record Requests : Request medical records and monitor responses.
- Correspondence & Filings : Draft letters to clients and opposing parties, and e-file documents through eJCC, including Petitions for Benefits.
- Legal Document Preparation : Prepare and edit "merge" forms from case management software, including motions.
What You Bring to the Table :
Experience in Discovery : Must have a background in drafting discovery responses.
Tech-Savvy : Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDF editing software (Adobe Acrobat, Kofax).
Legal Knowledge : Understanding of 60Q rules of procedure for workers' compensation claims and Florida Rules of Civil Procedure related to discovery.
Billable Hours Experience : Must be able to track billable hours contemporaneously with work performed.
Preferred Software Experience : Familiarity with Client Profiles / ATO practice management software is a plus.
