We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Systems Administrator to oversee the back-end technology operations supporting our media, streaming, audiovisual, and data management systems. This role is critical in ensuring our organization’s digital infrastructure remains secure, efficient, and uninterrupted for seamless media production, live streaming, and data management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network administration, server management, cybersecurity, cloud storage, and IT compliance—all while supporting a faith-based mission. This is a behind-the-scenes technical role focused on maintaining and optimizing the IT backbone that powers our digital and media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
Network & Infrastructure Management
- Design, maintain, and optimize network infrastructure to ensure stable and high-performance connectivity for all IT and media systems.
- Oversee Wi-Fi, LAN, and firewall configurations, ensuring secure and uninterrupted access for live streaming, file sharing, and remote work.
- Monitor bandwidth usage and network load balancing to prevent disruptions during live events, services, and media broadcasts.
- Implement and manage virtual private networks (VPNs), VLANs, and remote access systems for secure connectivity.
Server, Storage & Cloud Management
- Maintain on-premise and cloud-based servers for media storage, file sharing, and content distribution.
- Oversee large-file storage solutions to support media production teams, ensuring efficient and secure access to digital assets.
- Manage automated backup and disaster recovery systems to prevent data loss and downtime.
- Optimize cloud services (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, AWS, or Azure) for collaboration, storage, and security.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity best practices, ensuring all systems are protected from unauthorized access, malware, and data breaches.
- Regularly audit network security, access controls, and IT policies to align with compliance standards.
- Monitor for potential vulnerabilities and apply patches, firmware updates, and system hardening protocols.
- Implement multi-factor authentication (MFA), endpoint protection, and security awareness training for staff and volunteers.
- Maintain compliance with data privacy regulations, ensuring that media, user data, and financial information are safeguarded.
- IT Support for Media & Streaming Systems
- Ensure live streaming, recording, and media distribution systems run smoothly without technical interruptions.
- Provide backend IT support for video streaming platforms (e.g., YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Zoom, Vimeo, Church Online Platform).
- Manage networked AV solutions, including NDI, Dante, or other AV-over-IP technologies for real-time audio and video transmission.
- Troubleshoot encoding, transcoding, and video file delivery issues for digital platforms.
Backend System Administration
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot faith-based media and church management software.
- Provide database administration and backend support for membership systems, donations, and volunteer management platforms.
- Manage integration of IT systems with digital signage, presentation software (ProPresenter, EasyWorship), and social media automation.
- Maintain directory services (Active Directory, Azure AD, or Google Admin Console) for secure authentication and user access.
IT Policy & Documentation
- Develop IT policies and guidelines to streamline technology operations, security, and digital resource management.
- Document network configurations, troubleshooting guides, and system processes for internal use.
- Train staff and volunteers on best practices for digital security, IT compliance, and efficient use of technology resources.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Network Administration, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience in network administration, IT infrastructure management, or system security.
- Strong knowledge of firewalls, network switches, routers, and VLAN configurations.
- Expertise in cloud-based collaboration tools, storage systems, and virtual server environments.
- Experience with backup solutions, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Familiarity with live streaming technologies, video encoding, and media server management.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and proactive in identifying and resolving technical challenges.
- Passion for supporting a faith-based mission and media outreach efforts.

Certifications: CCNA, CompTIA Network , CompTIA Security , AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator.
- Experience with church media software and worship technologies (e.g., ProPresenter, Planning Center, OBS Studio, vMix).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and IT compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PCI DSS).
- Ability to support and mentor volunteers and staff in technical operations.
- Background in nonprofit or faith-based organizations is a plus.
