Job Summary
In this role, you will be essential in our world-leading ground handling operation at the Rapid City Airport. With a focus on safety and attention to detail, you will be responsible for completing various aspects of ramp service functions, including loading and unloading baggage and cargo, aircraft marshaling, and water servicing. This job is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
Compensation: $17.00 an hour
Responsibilities
Your primary job duties may include (but are not limited to):
- Marshall aircraft upon arrival and departure.
- Load and unload cargo/baggage on and off aircraft.
- Safely drive and operate ground support equipment, including belt loaders, tugs, and baggage carts to pick-up and deliver cargo/bags between the terminal, warehouse and aircraft.
- Sort and load baggage.
- Perform ground service functions, such as connecting/removing ground power, ground start units, and water service.
- Perform aircraft pushback, wing walking, and other related guideman functions.
- Maintain a secure work environment.
- Flexible to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Minimum Requirements
- HS Diploma, GED, or Equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to read, write, and fluently speak and understand the English language.
**This job is covered by a collective bargaining agreement of the Transport Workers Union (TWU), a labor union that requires joining the TWU and paying union dues.**

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Ability to work in inclement weather.
- The weight of luggage varies, but it is repetitively lifted, loaded, and unloaded on and off several different planes.
