Job Overview:
We’re looking for a skilled Parts Manager with a strong background in inventory management (ideally in an automotive or dealership setting) to lead our parts operations. This role requires at least 5-10 years of experience, the ability to handle a fast-paced workplace, and a commitment to keeping our team and customers equipped for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage parts inventory for enclosed trailers, ensuring stock levels meet sales and service demands.
- Order parts from suppliers, negotiate pricing, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Supervise a small parts team, providing direction and training for efficient operations.
- Assist sales and service staff with parts pricing, availability, and quick fulfillment.
- Set competitive parts pricing to support profitability and growth goals.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and maintain accurate records using management software.
- Handle returns, warranty claims, and defective parts processes with suppliers.
- Collaborate with other managers (e.g., sales, finance) to align parts operations with company objectives.
- Adapt to urgent demands and tight deadlines in a high-energy environment.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience as a Parts Manager, preferably in an automotive dealership or similar industry.
- Strong inventory management skills and familiarity with dealership-style operations.
- Ability to work 50-60 hours per week with flexibility for a fast-paced schedule.
- Proven leadership experience managing a team (even small teams of 2-5 people).
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
- Must reside in Cochran, Georgia, or within a 1-hour commute (relocation required if outside this radius).
- Comfortable using inventory software or systems (experience with dealership software a plus).
- Solid references from previous employers.
