What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Clerk position at WVU Medicine?
In collaboration with the health care team, the incumbent coordinates the receptionist and clerical functions and activities of the department. The incumbent is responsible for the accurate transcription of physician’s orders, while managing the patient documentation systems. The clerk is generally the first contact in public relations for the nursing department. Demonstrates the ability to facilitate communication between healthcare team members, to prioritize and coordinate patient care transcription and is sensitive to the needs of patients, families and fellow coworkers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND / OR LICENSURE :
1. High school graduate or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
EXPERIENCE :
1. Experience in Radiology / Medical Records preferred
2. Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred
3. Basic computer skills and / or word processing preferred.

5. Assists in maintaining necessary supplies.
