Wychmere Beach Club, Cape Cod's premiere Wedding location and private oceanfront club located in Harwich Port, Massachusetts is seeking an ambitious, energetic, experienced Assistant Director of Human Resources who will be responsible for working with the Director of Human Resources to administer a variety of HR related functions for the company.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources Management experience in hospitality or a related industry
- Recruitment experience in the hospitality field preferred
- Previous experience in payroll administration required (ADP or similar)
- Strong interpersonal skills coupled with excellent communication skills
- Exceptional organization and detail orientation, with an ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment in a service-focused culture
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff regarding matters of a confidential nature
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and use good judgement
Responsibilities:
- Direct responsibility for processing bi-weekly payroll (ADP)
- Supports the employee experience by delivering an exceptional candidate and onboarding experience
- Coordinates job postings, logging and tracking through the talent acquisition process
- Participates in pre-screening interviews (before candidates are presented to department heads) and provides additional interviewing support as needed
- Assists with reference checking and processes background checks
- Works closely with hiring managers to schedule and conduct new hire onboarding and orientations
- Manages the seasonal housing program including: assignment of seasonal employee rooms, coordination of arrival and move-in dates, processing security deposits and housing contracts, partner with Engineering and off-site housing maintenance to ensure housing is in good condition and prepared for staff arrival
- Responsible for accurate entry and processing of all hired staff into the HRIS and payroll systems
- Assist with the planning and execution of Employee Engagement events, Wellness programming, Employee Recognition programs and other special projects
- Process bi-weekly housing payments in season
- Assist with handling confidential employee relations matters
- Maintain and update employee and compliance files to ensure they all meet state and federal regulations
Annual Salary: Starting at $75,000 - commensurate with experience
