Wyoming Valley Behavioral Hospital -

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Admissions Coordinator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the intake process of potential new patients seeking treatment. The Admissions Coordinator requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Join our team and be part of a dynamic healthcare environment that values your expertise. Now hiring 1 Part Time Days and 1 Part Time Overnights

In this role, one must have :

  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor, at all times. An Admission Coordinator is generally the first contact with Referral Partners, and must uphold a high standard of communication, behavior and attitude when communicating with other professionals.                                                                                    -Ability to problem solve from a solution-based place                                                                                                                                                                  -Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations and confidential information                                                                                                                -Collaborate with insurance companies and other funding sources to verify benefits and obtain necessary authorizations.                                                        -Facilitates all incoming inquiries of prospective clients, loved ones and mental health / medical professionals with a sense of urgency and compassion          - Demonstrate a willingness to learn                                                                                                                                                                                               -Ability to manage and prioritize daily work within acceptable departmental time frames                                                                                                           -Computer competence (Microsoft Word, Outlook). Must also have experience with Electronic Medical Records                                                                       -Obtains clinical information and other medical information (as applicable) to determine appropriateness                                                                                 -Be able to maintain professionalism in stressful situations                                                                                                                                                             -Organize and input information into CRM databases.                                                                                                                                                                   -Must have strong written and verbal communication skills                                                                                                                                                           -Previous experience working in the treatment field                                                                                                                                                                       -Utilizes supervisory feedback and evaluations to improve performance.                                                                                                                                       -Able to work independently and manage a fast-paced work environment.                                                                                                                                  -Must demonstrate efficiency, time management and multitasking skills                                                                                                                                      -Makes outbound phone calls to referral partners, as assigned

  • Qualifications :

  • College degree preferred.
  • Sales experience, particularly in health care services, products or pharmaceuticals is desirable.
  • Familiarity with long-term care and / or health care services useful.
