Job Summary
Xavier University of Louisiana is seeking to hire a part-time Program Manager for the Achieve Dual Enrollment Program. The Achieve Program provides local high school juniors and seniors with an opportunity to enroll in and earn college credits from Xavier as part of the early preparation process for college.
The Program Manager will report to the Director for Student Success and work very closely with the Coordinator for Exploratory Advising and Planning by assisting with coordinating key aspects of the program, including participant recruitment and programmatic planning.
Xavier University of Louisiana is particularly interested in candidates who have experience working with local high school students from diverse backgrounds and who have demonstrated commitment in helping local students further their educational aspirations and have worked in programs that help transitions high school students to secondary education institutions. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in counseling and guidance, college student personnel, education, student affairs, or related field.
- One year of student program management experience, advising, or counseling services in a high school setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution, with one year of dual enrollment program experience, or high school counseling support (with at least one year in a high school environment working with high school to college initiatives).
- Experience creating and managing educational programs.
- Experience working with diverse students in the local education system.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative environment.
- Excellent oral, written communication skills, and organizational skills.
Special Requirements Summary
- Local travel required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Must undergo criminal background check.
Work Hours
- Part-time, 20 hours/week.
- Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Knowledge, Education, Experience, and Proficiencies
- One year of student programming, coordinating, and recruiting experience at the high school level or higher
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders (students, colleagues, administrators), both verbally and in writing.
- Must possess diplomacy, confidentiality, and strong relationship-building skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, especially with students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Recruit eligible students from local high schools, community sponsored events, and pre-collegiate initiatives.
- Assist the Student Academic staff with creating and disseminating marketing and promotional resources and opportunities for the Achieve Dual Enrollment Program.
- Provide support to students during the onboarding process, including program orientation.
- Play a critical role in programmatic planning, coordination, and oversight.
Performs other duties as assigned.
