Xavier University’ Office of Human Resources is seeking a Payroll Specialist. The ideal person for the job will be a problem solver with excellent communication skills and impeccable attention to detail. This role is primarily responsible for processing the hourly support staff and student employee payrolls. This position reports to the Director of Payroll.

Required Experience
Responsibilities Includes But Not Limited To
- Manage Time and Leave process.
- Enter new employee jobs and end terminating employees.
- Handle associated taxes, benefit deductions and pay adjustments.
- Payroll processing.
- Calculates and processes garnishments and child support.
- Uploads FSA, HSA, and Tax Compliance files.
- Completes journal entries as needed to support the various payroll-related payments ensuring General Ledger balances with the Bank.
- Assist the Director of Payroll in all aspects of the payroll function.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- At least 1 year of full-time payroll experience, Workday experience preferred.
- Attention to detail.
- Customer service driven.
- Strong oral/written communications.
- Microsoft Office proficient.
- Likes to improve processes.
