Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a transformational and results-driven Vice President of IT to spearhead our IT strategy and infrastructure from both a corporate and customer perspective. As a key executive leader in a fast-paced SaaS and services organization, this role is responsible for ensuring our technology ecosystem is robust, scalable, and secure. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, and IT operations, capable of driving transformation and delivering measurable business impact.

This position requires expertise in cross-functional collaboration spanning cybersecurity, engineering, AI and analytics, finance and human resources, ensuring alignment between IT initiatives and business objectives. The VP of IT must be both an architect of long-term vision and an agile leader who can execute mission-critical projects efficiently. This role requires an individual with a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

What will you do?

• Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive IT strategies that align with the company's business objectives and growth goals
  • Using knowledge of the latest industry trends and technologies, recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance the company’s IT capabilities and competitive edge.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing organization of IT professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Lead complex transformational projects and programs
• Budget Management:
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions while meeting the company’s technological needs
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with hardware and software vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring the best value for the company
  • Evaluate current technology and tools and provide recommendations as needed
• Infrastructure Management:
• Oversee the advancement of a robust IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and hardware systems
• Oversee complex, multi-phased IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards
• In-depth partnership with cybersecurity leadership to ensure the security of the company’s IT infrastructure, data, and intellectual property through the implementation of advanced security protocols and regular assessment of potential vulnerabilities
• Enterprise Architecture
  • Enhance and evolve the enterprise architecture by optimizing both cloud and on-premises licensing and utilization.

This is an onsite position at our corporate headquarters in San Diego, CA.

What education and experience do you need?

A combination of the following education and experience factors will be considered:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a strong background in hardware and corporate IT infrastructure with a strong preference for healthcare or finance industry experience
• Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in a wide range of technology stacks critical to IT operations and innovation.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, PMP, or ITIL are a plus.

What does the position pay:

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.

The expected range for this role is $275,000-330,000 annual base compensation. Please note this range is an estimate and actual may vary based on qualifications and experience.
