Purpose:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
Job Responsibilities:

• Provides HR Business Partner support to restaurant units in your assigned regions by working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention and reduce costs.
• Conducts regular meetings with respective Regional Directors to understand business needs and where HR support is needed.
• Work closely with HR leadership on all Employee Relations matters. Conduct effective, thorough, timely and objective investigations.
• Monitor and investigate employee anonymous hotline and web complaints/concerns.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with legal counsel as needed/required.
• Support General Liability (GL), Workers’ Comp (WC) and Leave of Absence (LOA) processes for employees in your assigned regions.
• Work collaboratively with Training & Development to provide focused training based on a specific unit’s needs to minimize WC and GL costs.
• Ensures HR and business strategies are in alignment and gain RD support in strategic HR activities.
• Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) while maintaining an engaging, respectful, and fun work environment.
• Support the recruiting process for non-exempt positions.
• Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
• Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting and evaluations.
• Coach managers in career development, leadership, and management best practices.
• Partner with HR leadership to review all salary actions including the annual salary review, promotions, and job re-leveling situations.
• Collaborate with key partners and stakeholders on processes to build a world-class employee experience.
• Map and document processes, identify gaps and recommend and implement process improvements
• Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
• Lead or contribute to various cross-team and / or cross-functional HR projects.
• Manage high-volume workload to ensure deadlines are met.
• Track and monitor harassment and compliance training requirements and ensure required training is completed by all applicable employees.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Competencies:
• Full-service restaurant/ hospitality industry experience preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively and assertively
• Ability to objectively coach management and navigate complex, difficult issues
• Strong knowledge and understanding of employment laws and regulations
• Excellent analytical abilities and well-developed problem-solving skills
• Articulate and solid communicator with effective presentation skills; ability to communicate complex concepts both verbally and in writing
• Strong relationship-building skills required to productively interact across all levels of the organization
• High personal standards: the ability to represent the company positively
• Ability to manage a diverse workload and changing priorities; exceptional decision-making, project management, planning and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively handle and manage confidential and sensitive information
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion
Skills/Work Experience:
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• 21 years of age
• Proficient in Windows MS Office, Outlook and HRIS
• 3 or more years of HRBP experience, ideally within hospitality or restaurants
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field required
• SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
