Job Description:
XSEED Games is looking for an HR Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and will work closely with upper management in supporting the operations of XSEED Games. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding/off-boarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action, and employment law compliance. This is a full-time position based in Torrance, California.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update all HR-related documents such as employee handbook, job description, organizational chart, etc.- ensure that employees are well informed of any changes and policies that are enforced.
- Ensure that company policies and practices comply with current Federal and State employment and labor laws.
- Manage and maintain employee’s personnel files in a confidential manner and promptly update the information on HRIS systems as needed.
- Provide new hire orientation by explaining the employee handbook, reimbursement policies, benefits, and HRIS.
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee relations issues- Promptly and carefully resolve workplace issues by conducting a thorough investigation and meeting with the employee(s) in a professional and diplomatic manner.
- Manage the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants while collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Research and analyze trends in compensation and benefits within the industry; propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Perform exit interviews and collect all necessary documentation for terminations.
- Serve as an advocate of the company’s high-level, friendly, fun, and professional atmosphere.
- Plan and organize team-building events such as company dinners, holiday parties, movie nights, etc.
- Maintain knowledge of HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, talent management, and employment law.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Human resources
- Minimum of 1-2 years of human resource management or similar work experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
- Japanese language knowledge is a plus but not required.
- Interest and familiarity with video games are a plus.
