What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Facilitator position at Y.O.U.R. Community Center (United To Rise)?
United To Rise is looking for dependable, hardworking, team players (Enrichment Facilitators) to help lead the following summer programs. Programs start on June 27th and end on August 5th, 2022 with a possibility of working throughout the 2022/2023 school year. Your start date would be some time before the start of the programs for training:
Camp-On-The-Go A summer camp for youth ages 5-13 that includes six weeks of academics, sports, special activities (e.g. environmental education program, art, and daily field trips to museums, national parks, monuments, nature centers, hiking, swimming, etc.), to broaden awareness of the rich culture and history of Washington, D.C. Experience working with youth within this age range is desired.
NovelTeens Ink - A Summer Journalism Program designed to train middle and high school aged youth in areas of Journalism including Writing for the Media & Script writing, Videography, Photojournalism, Pod Casting, Web Design, and Mobile Application Development. Experience in the above Journalism areas is a must.
Petals of Primrose- A Leadership Program for Adolescents is a Mentoring and Leadership program for adolescent girls where they share experiences and have mature discussions around coming into women-hood. They receive etiquette training, and workshops in college preparation, career development/work readiness, and apprenticeships. Experience working with adolescent girls is desired.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
