Description
The Technical Superintendent’s role is to support the management of a fleet of yachts and their Owners, Captains and Crew in the delivery of safe and effective yacht operation. The principal activity of the Technical Superintendent will be to work alongside Captains and Crew to ensure that yacht maintenance and upkeep are conducted and recorded in accordance with good maritime practice and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- The Technical Superintendent is a part of the safety management system in the Denison Yacht Managed fleet.
- Assist and support the Maritime Compliance Manager in delivering yacht compliance.
- Review maintenance and upkeep planning of all yachts.
- Where technical assistance is required, ensuring that support is delivered and followed up.
- Contact point for vendors and contractors providing support to the fleet.
- Oversee any shipment of spares or other support to yachts.
- Advice and support to clients in selection of suitable contractors.
- Liaise with Captain and Yacht Management team regarding shipyard worklists and project funding needs.
- Assist and support the Yacht Administrator with crew and financial administration activities as they relate to technical and compliance performance of the yacht.
- Visit the yachts as needed and where practical/approved by Owner.
