Position Summary:
This position will focus on designing and implementing educational programs and activities for tribal and community members affected by domestic/family violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in education, community outreach, communications, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience in relevant areas such as event planning, program development, marketing, or project management.
Essential Functions:
· The Education and Activities Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for designing and developing educational programs and activities tailored to the needs of tribal and community members impacted by domestic/family violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking.
· This position will develop and execute outreach strategies to effectively engage with tribal and community members, working closely with the Domestic/Family Violence & Sexual Assault Advisory Committee.
· Building relationships and partnerships with schools, community organizations, and stakeholders will be a key aspect of this role.
· Collaborating with team members and external partners to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of outreach initiatives.
· Actively engaging with community victims/survivors to understand ongoing needs and service gaps will be essential.
· Planning and coordinating outreach activities, events, and programs in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
· The coordinator will be expected to think creatively and develop innovative approaches to outreach and engagement.
· Designing engaging activities, utilizing technology and social media, and adapting outreach strategies to reach diverse audiences will be part of their responsibilities.
· Developing marketing materials and utilizing various communication channels to promote educational programs and events
· Managing resources effectively, including budgets, materials, and equipment, to ensure the success of outreach activities and events.
· Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of outreach efforts and activities.
· Collecting feedback from participants and stakeholders to enhance future planning
· Performs related duties.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. The employee must be able to read, write, speak, and hear.

Supervisory and Management Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibility or authority.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Bachelor’s degree in education, community outreach, communications, marketing, or a related field OR, 3 years of previous experience in education, community outreach, event planning, program development, marketing, project management, or related fields.
· Possession or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Alaska with a clean driving record.
· Must successfully pass a criminal state and national background check.
