**About the Role:**
We are looking for a skilled Gel-Coat Operations Technician to join our team at Yamaha Motor Corporation. In this role, you will be responsible for reading, interpreting, and understanding work instructions, safety guidelines, and organizational policies to efficiently perform multiple operations.
Key Duties:
- Apply gel-coat on boat decks, hulls, and other FRP parts, using gel-coat and catalysts to achieve high-quality finishes.
- Maintain equipment, minimize downtime, and ensure proper tool maintenance and chemical disposal.
- Follow established processes and procedures, requiring written approval from management for any deviations.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- One or more years of assembly experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
- Reading, comprehension, speaking, and writing skills at a 9th-grade level in English.
- Ability to complete written forms, read routine procedures, and correspondence.
Working Conditions:
The working environment is characterized by loud noises and general production conditions. This role requires physical stamina, moderate to heavy lifting (50-75 lbs.), and the ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, kneel, reach, and crouch. Near and far vision, hearing, and talking are also essential.
