THE OPPORTUNITY
YES Prep needs a dynamic HRIS Specialist with a diverse set of experiences, to make our mission a reality. THE ROLE
Onboarding Support
- Assisting with the onboarding process for new hires, including scheduling orientation sessions and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
- Performing I9 verifications to confirm eligibility for employment.
- Managing the Talent inbox by reviewing and responding to emails related to Verification of Employment (VOEs) needing additional information, Statements of Employment (SOEs), and Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) inquiries.
- Maintaining and updating employee service records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Overseeing the management of employee transcripts and ensure they are up-to-date and accessible.
- Supporting worker's compensation claims by coordinating with insurance providers and employees (scope of duties related to this function will be determined and communicated as needed).
- Ensuring timely and accurate processing of unemployment claims, specifically those related to voluntary separations (Vol EOEs),
- Monitoring and managing expired documents, including renewal notifications and updating records as required.
- Managing records and documentation related to approved student drivers, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Maintaining and updating the Do Not Hire (DNH) registry to ensure compliance with company and legal standards.
- Other duties as assigned.

- 0-2 years of professional experience in a human resource, administrative, or operations -focused role
- Evidence of strong writing skills and aesthetically pleasing work products

- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
- Human Resources experience or a strong desire to dive into the Human Resources field

- Leadership experience at the college or professional level
- Microsoft Excel

- Compensation – This position is an exempt, salaried position; offers commensurate with experience.
- Health and Supplemental Insurance – A $0 monthly medical option that includes $600 towards a Health Savings Account, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20 hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.

Paid Time Off – Employees working 20 hours a week receive 15 days of Paid Time Off in addition to the system closures during the Academic Calendar.
