Infant Assistant Teacher Needed for Caring and Educational Setting
We are seeking an Infant Assistant Teacher to join our team who is passionate about working with infants and their families in a caring and educational setting that aligns with the mission of the YMCA.
Job Summary:
- Serve as a caring adult presence for children ages six weeks to twelve months, inspiring learning that promotes physical, social, and cognitive development.
- Work cooperatively with Lead Teacher to develop daily lessons and activities that meet the needs of the group.
- Build relationships with parents and other adults to foster a supportive environment for each child.
- Promote teamwork among staff to support children's growth and learning.
- Ensure compliance with State Licensing and Step Up to Quality requirements for a high-quality care environment.
Responsibilities:
- Care for and engage with infants, supporting their physical, social, and emotional development.
- Develop and implement lesson plans and activities in collaboration with Lead Teacher.
- Maintain open communication with parents and other adults, keeping them informed about their child's progress and needs.
- Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Support Lead Teacher in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all children.
Requirements:
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass background check and physical examination
