A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CUSTODIAN
As a Custodian for the YMCA of Greater Erie, you will keep the building and property clean, well-functioning, and problem free.
You will need to have the ability to fix and clean the assigned areas. Custodians are what keep assigned areas clean, up-to-date, and ready for the children, staff, and clients every day.
It is more then just collecting trash, mopping, and fixing things, the hard work helps provide a safe, clean, and sanitary facility for all to enjoy.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CUSTODIAN
- At least 18 years of age
- Must be able to complete assigned job duties with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to lift and move items over 50 pounds
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a physical
- Ability to acquire appropriate certifications within 90 days
